What is the most rewarding part about your job?
I find that when a patient of mine shows a significant improvement in their mood and life situation, this is very gratifying. I like to see when a person that I am treating takes the initiative to help themselves with medication, therapy, or both. I have witnessed remarkable transitions in some of my patients’ lives in which I feel I have played a small part.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
Outside of my work here I try to work out 6 days a week. I also enjoy passing time with games such as Candy Crush and Tetris; I also do puzzles from the New York Times daily. I like to watch streaming movies and shows with my partner. And I have been known to bake occasionally and share with my coworkers.
What are some healthy practices in your daily routine?
As I mentioned previously, I exercise 6 days weekly, alternating between weightlifting and cardio. I try to eat healthy, and have several low fats, low carb recipes that I make often. Distracting myself from daily stress with games on my phone, watching TV, and listening to music helps me to relax.
