Joined Cass Family Clinic:
2013
Hometown:
I was born and raised in Edwardsburg, MI. I lived in Cassopolis for about 12 years then returned back to Edwardsburg where I still reside.
Educational Background:
I pursued tertiary education at multiple institutions, initially enrolling at Ferris State University before transferring to Southwestern Michigan College to study nursing. I obtained my Licensed Practical Nurse degree in 1985 and subsequently completed my associate degree in nursing (ADN) for Registered Nurse certification in 1987, while maintaining full-time employment.
Professional Experience:
I started in healthcare just prior to my senior year of high school, working as a nurse aide at the Cass County Medical Care Facility (CCMCF) in 1979. I continued my work at CCMCF, as I earned my LPN and then my RN degree. In 1987, I began working at Elkhart General Hospital (EGH) and went part-time at CCMCF. I left EGH after seven years of employment and went back to full time at CCMCF. I continued my employment with CCMCF through 10/2001, leaving to go manage a Homecare Company servicing Cass, Berrien, VanBuren and Kalamazoo Counties. I continued with the Homecare Company until August 2013, when I left to join the Cassopolis Family Clinic family. I have led the quality area for the clinic enhancing regulatory and compliance status, along with various other roles/responsibilities.
