Educational Background:
I went to Indiana University South Bend where I got a Bachelors in Biological Sciences and graduated in 2014, then attended the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy and graduated in 2018

Why did you go into pharmacy?
I grew up on a farm and loved helping our vet and helping my mom and dad anytime they were sick or hurt, so I wanted to go into a career that allowed me to help people. While I was in school, I always excelled in math and science. While I was in high school, I was very involved in shadowing or interning with pharmacists, vets, doctors, dentists and nurses and quickly decided that pharmacy was the best path for my interests. Since then, I have explored the broad world of pharmacy and all of the opportunities it offers to pharmacists, and I have found that I enjoy community pharmacy the most because of our close connection with patients when they need help the most. I look forward to the ever-growing ways pharmacists can reach out to patients to help them with preventative care like immunizations and management of their chronic conditions through medication therapy management and comprehensive medication reviews.

What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I live on 20 acres in South Bend, IN and we like to utilize our property for raising horses, dogs, cats, chickens, and most recently bees. We also dabble in brewing beers, wines, ciders and hope soon to make our own mead. We also are now wrapping up our second year of making our own maple syrup. Our family is never board as we also love to travel and take part in sports like bowling and golf.
