Cass Family Clinic is expanding access to convenient, integrated care with the opening of a new on-site pharmacy at its Dowagiac Clinic, located at 57392 M-51 S. The milestone was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony, held March 27, attended by Cass Family Clinic board members, leadership and staff to commemorate the occasion.
The Dowagiac pharmacy marks an important milestone for the organization, establishing pharmacy services at each of Cass Family Clinic’s three locations, including Cassopolis, Niles and now Dowagiac.
“Expanding pharmacy services to our Dowagiac location ensures our patients and the entire community have seamless access to the medications they need as part of their overall care,” said Joe Gavan, CEO of Cass Family Clinic. “By offering on-site pharmacies at all three of our clinics, we are making healthcare more convenient, coordinated and accessible for the communities we serve.”
The new pharmacy will allow all community members to fill and manage their prescriptions, improving efficiency and supporting better health outcomes. A convenient drive-through option further enhances access for patients, making it easier to pick up medications quickly and safely. With pharmacists working closely alongside medical providers, in-house patients benefit from enhanced care coordination and personalized support.
“As someone who once worked in a busy Dowagiac pharmacy that recently closed, I understand how valuable accessible pharmacy services are to this community,” said Kevin Klipowicz, Pharmacy Director. “The opening of our Dowagiac Pharmacy is an important step in expanding care and convenience for our patience and the community.”
Klipowicz added that the pharmacy will also play a critical role in addressing broader community health challenges, including substance use disorder. “The opioid epidemic has touched nearly every corner of our community. By providing substance use disorder services, our pharmacy is stepping up to be a part of the solution – supporting recovery, saving lives, and strengthening the health of our community
The addition of the Dowagiac pharmacy builds on Cass Family Clinic’s commitment to delivering comprehensive healthcare services under one roof, including primary care, dental, behavioral health and pharmacy services.
The Dowagiac Clinic originally opened in September 2025 joining existing clinical locations in Cassopolis, Niles, and the new mobile unit, all of which serves the surrounding communities throughout Cass and Berrien County.
Pharmacy hours, including drive-through service, are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
